Scientific research work is a mandatory part of every graduate study programme at the Faculty of Physics. The particular number of scientific research works to be done and the amount of credits dedicated to them differs from programme to programme (see below). This work can be done at one of the Faculty of Physics scientific groups, other Vilnius University faculties or other research institutions. The topic of scientific research work has to correspond to the study field of a particular study programme (physics, electronics engineering, material technologies).
The aim of scientific research work is to improve student capacity to independently perform scientific research work, to solve problems arising in the work, to conduct an analysis of scientific material and to assess their work results in the context of other scientific works.
