"Open Readings" is the largest annual gathering of young scientists in the Baltic States. The four-day conference attracts over 400 global participants - students, young researchers, internationally renowned scientists, including Nobel Prize winners. The conference provides a free platform for participants to demonstrate their scientific contributions, allowing students and young scientists to present posters and oral presentations on their research, to receive constructive criticism from members of the scientific community and to broaden their horizons and circle of peers. The conference is an excellent opportunity for participants and the general public to hear internationally renowned guest speakers on a wide range of scientific topics such as lasers, theoretical physics, astronomy, materials science, chemistry, biotechnology and genetics.

The conference annually hosts a Pupils' Session, which brings together some of Lithuania's most talented school students to present their scientific findings.
