Prof. Algis Petras Piskarskas Named Scholarship for the Best Bachelor's Thesis
The purpose of the Best Bachelor’s Thesis Scholarship is to encourage talented students of the VU Faculty of Physics to achieve better results in their bachelor’s studies, participate in scientific research in the field of laser science, and motivate them to continue their studies at the master’s level.
The Scholarship is a one-time award of 2000 EUR, before taxes. This Scholarship is awarded to a student of the VU Faculty of Physics who has defended the best bachelor’s thesis in the field of laser science in the academic year.

Jurgis Viščakas Named Scholarship
Aim of the scholarship – to promote individually the scientific work of students of all levels at the University, in the fields of semiconductor physics and materials science, optoelectronics, optics and photonics, which were initiated by academic Jurgis Viščakas, and in other fields related to the activities of the Founder.

Scholarship of dr. Remis Gaška
Aim of the scholarship – to encourage talented students of the University Faculty of Physics to achieve better study results, to participate in research, and to pursue a career in physics and physical devices. This scholarship is nominal and awarded for the best bachelor’s thesis defended that year.

Aim of the scholarship – to encourage students of the University Faculty of Physics to carry out research in the field of photonics related to the activities of UAB Optomenas.
JSC „Light Conversion“ Named Scholarship
Aim of the scholarship – to promote students' research activities at Vilnius University, focused on the development of ultrashort pulse laser technologies and in other fields related to the activities of VU FF Laser Research Center and JSC Light Conversion.
JSC "TELE2" Named Scholarship
Aim of the scholarship – to encourage talented students of the Faculty of Physics of Vilnius University to achieve better study results, to participate in research in the field of Telecommunications and to pursue a career in the field of telecommunications and M2M technologies. This scholarship is nominal and awarded for the best bachelor's thesis in the field of Telecommunications and M2M technologies defended that year.

For Postdocks
Prof. Algis Petras Piskarskas Named Postdoctoral Fellowship
The purpose of the Postdoctoral Fellowship is to provide two years of financial support to talented and promising researchers at the VU Faculty of Physics Laser Research Center or other scholars, encouraging them to continue their academic work at the VU Faculty of Physics Laser Research Center after defending their doctoral dissertation.
A 24-month Postdoctoral Fellowship can range from 800 to 1500 EUR per month, before taxes.
