From 16 to 20 June, Vilnius University (VU) will host its third annual International Multidisciplinary Summer School for Doctoral Students.

This year’s theme – “AI and Beyond: Thinking Machines, Thinking Humans” – will focus on the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in contemporary research. The topic will be approached from a broad range of perspectives, including the natural sciences, neuroscience, law, and ethics.

In addition to academic sessions, the programme includes a cultural component featuring an excursion to historic sites across Lithuania.

The Summer School will open with an inaugural event at the VU Central Campus Theatre Hall (Universiteto St. 3), while the main seminars will take place at the VU Botanical Garden in Kairėnai.

Prospective participants are invited to register via the following link. Places are limited. A registration fee of €50 applies and is payable upon confirmation from the organisers. This fee may be covered by your PhD programme funding.

PhD students who attend all the summer school activities will be awarded 3 ECTS credits for transferable skills.
