On 17 June, the graduation ceremony of the VU Faculty of Physics took place at the Church of St. John's.

The graduates and their families were congratulated by the Vice-Rector of Vilnius University Professor Gintaras Valušis.

"Physicists have always been known for their subtle humor, original thinking, and deep pursuit of knowledge. Today you’re entering a new stage—keep the Faraday mindset within you to guide you forward. I wish you success and patience," he said.

Dean Professor Aidas Matijošius emphasized that this year marks the 60th anniversary of the Faculty of Physics. He remarked that physicists not only measure the universe—they help shape it. He encouraged graduates to remember their studies even during uncertain moments: "As in quantum physics—everything can be possible."

Remigijus Šliūpas, CEO of Optoman, reflected on his own six years of study at the Faculty of Physics. "Whether or not you remember how to solve equations, with a foundation in physics, you can become whatever you want. Experiment, make mistakes, and follow what sparks passion in your eyes," he encouraged.

Speaking on behalf of the 2025 cohort of bachelor’s graduates was Goda Grybauskaitė, and for the master's graduates—Milda Stancikaitė. Both thanked the faculty community, including initiatives like Open Readings, Physics Day (FiDi), the Vilnius University Student Representation in the Faculty of Physics, and Young Energy Professionals Club. "I'm happy and proud to have walked this journey with such courageous and talented people like you," said Grybauskaitė.
