Dominyka Stonytė successfully defended her PhD thesis "Ultrashort UV pulse-material interaction for laser microfabrication applications."

202506In her work, femtosecond deep-UV laser pulse application in the fabrication of multi-level diffractive optical elements has been successfully demonstrated for the first time. With improved surface quality and a high degree of modification depth control, this one-step method paves the way for advanced applications demanding nanoscale precision – particularly in photonics, plasmonics, metamaterials, and beyond.

Her Research Supervisor was Prof. Dr. Domas Paipulas.

We wish her success, joy, courage, and unwavering motivation in facing new challenges and pursuing ambitious goals.
