On September 5–6, on the celebration of the Faculty of Physics' anniversary, radio enthusiasts, members of the university and faculty community, and curious visitors gathered at Saulėtekis to establish radio connections with the worldwide community.

Everyone had an opportunity to try themselves at being a radio operator, at least for a short while.
Radio enthusiasts from Lithuania, Ireland, Spain, Poland, Germany, and elsewhere have already heard the special call sign LY60VUFF being broadcast.
Visitors could also chat in Morse code and learn about the physics of electromagnetic waves with the help of the Physicist's Day (FiDi) demonstration.
Radio enthusiasts around the world will hear a special call sign and establish connections throughout September. This marks the beginning of a series of events celebrating the faculty's 60th anniversary.
