Congratulations to the winners of the "Optoman" named scholarships: master's student Margarita Biveinytė and bachelor's student Evita Spalinskaitė.

The students are excited to share their academic interests and the opportunities provided by the scholarship.
“Currently, I am conducting fluorescence lifetime measurements using the supercritical angle microscopy technique. My research aims to develop a system capable of resolving fluorescence lifetimes shorter than 10 picoseconds with sub-diffraction spatial resolution in biological structures, leveraging quantum photon interference phenomena. I am also interested in plasmonics and quantum optics technologies, particularly their applications in investigating biological systems and dynamics,” said E. Spalinskaitė.
“My research at Vilnius University is closely connected to particle sensor studies and the application of photonics technologies at CERN — the world’s largest laboratory for nuclear and particle physics. This international experience has demonstrated that photonic techniques are an essential part of modern detector development and materials science, for instance, in determining non-equilibrium carrier lifetimes and identifying the dominant recombination and trapping mechanisms in studied materials. The scholarship I received will enable me to continue my research in photonics, using pump–probe methods to characterize different particle sensor architectures,” said M. Biveinytė.
Optoman representatives congratulate the scholarship winner and are delighted to have the opportunity to contribute to the encouragement of young talent.
"It was great to meet Evita and Margarita, hear their stories, and give them a glimpse of what life at OPTOMAN looks like. During their visit, the scholarship winners received their certificates and gifts, toured our manufacturing facility, and met OPTOMAN’s founder. Moments like this remind us why it’s so important to invest in future talent,” – said "Optoman" representatives..
We congratulate the students and wish them success in their studies.
This Scholarship encourages students of the Faculty of Physics to conduct research in the field of photonics and is awarded for one semester.
