On December 17–19, the Faculty of Physics at Vilnius University hosted Dr. Stephan Knecht, a partnership associate professor from the German startup "NVision Imaging Technologies" GmbH.

This startup is developing a technology that utilizes advanced quantum phenomena to enable magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) for the early-stage detection and treatment of cancer. During the visit, Dr. Stephan Knecht delivered lectures to master’s students of the "Chemical Physics" program within the course "Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy". The lecture topics covered hyperpolarization of nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and MRI imaging methodologies. The audience also discussed on collaboration between science and industry during the lectures. The NMR group of the Institute of Chemical Physics actively collaborates with this startup and dr. Stephan Knecht.
