Nomination and registration of candidates for the Faculty of Physics Council is taking place from 26 September 2025 until 7 November 2025 at 13:00.

Candidates may be nominated from the following three groups:

  1. Professors and Chief Research Associates / Senior Research Fellows employed at Faculty of Physics who meet the requirements outlined in Article 12.4 of the VU Statute (as per VU FPh Regulations, point 15.1).

  2. Associate Professors and Senior Research Associates employed at Faculty of Physics who meet the requirements outlined in Article 12.4 of the VU Statute (as per VU FPh Regulations, point 15.2).

  3. Members of the academic and / or non-academic community employed at Faculty of Physics who meet the requirements outlined in Article 12.4 of the VU Statute (as per VU FPh Regulations, point 15.3).

To nominate a candidate, voters must submit:

  • A written nomination for the candidate to stand for election to the VU FPh Council (Annex 1).

  • A written consent from the nominated candidate agreeing to stand (Annex 2).

Documents should be submitted to the Dean’s Office (Saulėtekio al. 9, Building III, Room 203) during working hours.

Election procedure:

The list of candidates will be published on the Faculty’s website on 10 November 2025.

The Faculty of Physics Council elections will take place on 13 November, with an opportunity for early voting on 11 November.

Please note that, in accordance with Resolution No. S-2014-11-2 of 16 December 2014 and the election procedure for Council members of VU’s core academic units, elections are considered valid only if at least two-thirds of eligible voters participate.
