The Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy group is a part of the Institute of Chemical Physics. The group focuses on i) the application and the development of solid-state NMR techniques for studying functional materials and ii) PHIP (parahydrogen induced polarization) and magnetic resonance in low fields. The variety of materials ranges from calcium phosphates for bone-engineering, inorganic materials for light and sensing technologies, novel composites for batteries, ‘smart’ materials and biological metabolites or proteins. For these investigations, we have a fully equipped NMR lab capable of studying liquid or solid-state samples and access to the instrumentation of various other techniques.
