Program Highlights

During the visit, the pupils attended two engaging lectures:

  • Prof. Audrius Dubietis – “Fascinating Optics”
Prof. Dubietis captivated the audience by exploring a range of spectacular optical phenomena observable in the sky.

  • Prof. Mikas Vengris – “Lasers Without Formulas”
In his introductory talk, Prof. Vengris explained the basic principles of laser operation and highlighted various practical applications.

  • Hands-On Experience
After the lectures, the students toured the research laboratories, where they witnessed laser systems in action and learned about their real-world applications. The pupils described the experience as both fascinating and enlightening.

The visit not only sparked the pupils’ curiosity but also reinforced the value of hands-on learning, offering these students a unique opportunity to explore laser physics and appreciate its transformative impact on science and industry. The pupils described the experience as both fascinating and enlightening.
